180.  The House With A Reputation
We were talking about the house and I asked “Aren’t you concerned someone might come into your yard uninvited?”  And this other person replied, “Naww, nobody dares to come up to my house.  They all stay away.  This is The House With A Repuation +

181.  Elmer Swenson - Pioneering Grape Breeder
Can you imagine having the job of cross breeding this grape vine with that grape vine to come up with a new breed that makes better wine, that’s a better table grape, more resistant to bugs and diseases?  That’s what Elmer Swenson - Pioneering Grape Breeder did.  :-)

182.  STIMULUS PLUS
Just heard a line in a song, “Please Mr. President, lay some stimulus on me.”  Made me smile.  Yeah, in 2010 the word STIMULUS has headline and title potential.  I’d much prefer that my baby would lay some STIMULUS PLUS on me ’cause this woman needs to rock out of her jeans!

178.  Hubba Hubba Happyness!
My friend used to sing a ditty went like this - Hubba Hubba Ding-Ding, He’s Got Everything Thing! - when she saw a hot guy.  I just read the words Hubba Hubba, stepped back and looked at them thinking - “Hey = they’re still using that expression in an upbeat sense.”  Added the Happyness with the twisted spelling and viola!  Hubba Hubba Happyness! is a great title to make a vocal showcase song.  Play up the hub-hub sound+++

178.  Godd’ess With Me
Godd’ess With Me is my mantra of late.  I equate it to God Is With Me only with a femine twist.  Godd’ess With Me can take you to a love potion #9 place as well as a gypsy moondance or a warrior stance.  Give femininity your twist up and let us hear.

179. Gettin’ Ready For Tomorrow
We just had a Sunday meal fit for the king and queen we are! Turkey sausage marinated in my own organically grown elderberry sauce, Karl’s refrigerator pickles made with donated cucumbers, beets and horseradish and a toasted store bought onion roll. Add some organic mustard and mmwwhhaw.   A culinary delight.

So he goes into the garage to do some diddling after diner and I follow him a bit later. “Hey Karl, it’s after 4pm, you’re done for today - OK?”  Really the time is nearly 8pm, the time he said he was going to start a fire in our outdoor fireplace & we’d sit and relax with the snaps and crackles.  I ask, “What are you doing in here?” and he replies, “I’m Gettin’ Ready For Tomorrow.”

174.  Happy Nice Pill
Loking at his face getting old, crabby, the lobotomized gloom; listening to his voice, mechanical, seeing the colors and hearing the sounds that swirl about him, alls I can say is “Don’t you have a Happy Nice Pill you can take?”

175.  HONOR
8-28-10 Just watched some of the Restore Honor Rally that Glen Beck and Sarah Palin hosted at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C.  He challenged the audience to get their hearts right, to be truthful.  I’m feeling ya’ Glen!  Looking at that powerful word = HONOR = what do you feel?  Can you put that feeling in sound, song, art or story?  I challenge you.

176.  Poison & Sugar
You’re Poison & Sugar in the same pill baby.
Make me rock out before my head rolls
and rolls and truth be told
You gotta’ take a little pain
to rub against the gold.

171.  That’s Just Icing
And I saw a hummingbird today.  Today has been marvelous.  I am happy and keen.  The hummingbird in her tiny motor sounding glory is marvelous too.  That’s Just Icing to see and hear the nectar thirsty hummingbird.  Whenever I see the hummingbird in my garden I say aloud - ”Today is a good day,” and smile.  :-)

172.  CULMINATION
This is an intellectual title as one or two of you reading this won’t know what that word means.  In writing song lyrics, your audience has 1 or 2 seconds to get an image in their mind from your words/lyric.  Best not to use abstract intellectual words when you can use nouns.

When I say “My red hat” you get an immediate image.  When I say “CULMINATION of heartbreak” you have to THINK about it, like poetry, and it’s best to use such words for writing projects other than song lyric.

This is a good instrumental title as CULMINATION = Reaching of the highest or lowest altitude or point.  The highest point, zenith; climax. (Webster).  A great definition of jazz riffs, classical tangents and music in general.

173.  PLUS ONE
What a positive title = PLUS ONE suggests expansion, addition, more.  It even suggests intimacy.  PLUS ONE - one person - the lucky guy or - the lucky gal - one coin - addition, one color, pink,  one chord one movement BDE - your art - for all to see.  Me + 1 = 2.
Bop be-do, Bop be-do, Bop bedo one
Bop be-do, Bop be-do, Bop bedo one

PLUS ONE PLUS ONE PLUS ONE

168. The Vicious Cycle
Round and round we go, where will we stop, tell me you know! The Vicious Cycle has us on hold, the future comes at us, the light is bold. Tell me again that you know where we are. Tell me again that we will go far, far away … from the whirlpool.

169. The Promised Land
The Promised Land …
is talked about by religious leaders. It’s a place we go to when we pass from this life. So it’s an imaginary place because we don’t know what it is like. As an imaginary place, The Promised Land can look like anything, anything you can dream up. The Promised Land can be a real place as well. Looking at a sunset over water turns me on. My promised land can be that seat on the beach, watching that ball of fire descend into the water. The Promised Land can be where that sun goes too. An imaginary place of color.

170.  Beer Buzz Going On
I’ve got a Beer Buzz Going On,
you should get going on too!!!

needles-branch-to-left.jpg#162.  Go Off Script

To Go Off Script means to tell it like it really is, to share your heart and move past what is politically correct or safe.  Go Off Script with me baby, till it like it is.  I want to know your process, how you think & what you give.

163.  SWALLOW
when something is hard to swallow consider the swallow, a small bird that flies in the air.  now you will be able to swollow easier.  :-)

164.  Premier Disaster or Disaster Premier

This one is sort of self evident.  The spilt fresh raw goat’s milk is a premier disaster… your sister getting drunk at your husband’s birthday party and taking off her clohes to the Stripper song is a Disaster Premier.  They are close cousins.

159.  Rogue Is Vogue
With the great success of Sarah Palin’s book titled  Going Rogue, the word “rogue” is enjoying some popularity.  Rogue, which is defined by Webster as :

1.  A wandering beggar or tramp; vagabond 2.  a rascal; scoundrel 3. a fun-loving, mischievous person 4. an elephant or other animal that wanders apart from the herd and is fierce and wild 5. an individual varying markedly from the standard, esp. an inferior one-
can certainly mean several different things.  So the title Rogue Is Vogue, which can be proven in an essary - is a great title for a writing piece or an instrumental.

160.  Splashing Water or Sound of Splashing Water
We’ve got a small plastic kid’s pool for the dogs and me to cool off in the hot summer heat.  Princess Ada likes to dig in the pool.  I love to watch her.  It’s a machine like rhythm similiar to digging a hole only there’s splashing water.
The Sound of Splashing Water in summer on a hot day is the sound of relief, of fun, of coolness.

161.  The Best I Can Hope for with you =
is the lonely you leave me
           don’t turn me blue+

The guy who tries to listen to his gal and repeatedly says “Yes Dear” as she’s talking.  What do you think of him?  You every space out when someone is telling their story and give them a “Yes Dear” response just to be polite?

157.  The Minted Blog
When a blog is about gardens we can call it The Minted Blog.  When a blog post needs to come across as a bit more pleasurable than it really is, it is minted = like minted breath.  “I will write The Minted Blog about our love affair.”  It doesn’t get into the tainted stuff, it stays cool and clean+

158.  Solar Plasma
The sun has been storming & throwing off a Solar Plasma capable of interrupting communications on earth.  People have been worshipping the sun for eons.  We need the sun to live.  The sun is our buddy.  Solar Plasma is like the static in a love relationship; communication breakdown…

The Solar Plasma is raining tonight baby baby
Don’t say a word just hold me tight
Don’t say a word just hold me tight tonight
Baby baby

When you pet a contented kitty, it will make a purring sound.  We associate the word purr, with a happy kitty.  Make Me Purr because I want to be a happy kitty too!

155.  WAVEY
Let’s do a wave!  Put your arms up and stand up, then put your arms down and sit down = all around the stadium.  There is a guy on the Woodstock documentary calls himself Wavey Gravey.  WAVEY is when something moves from end to end.  A good word for music.  Music is WAVEY.

We’ve all been talking to someone and noticed they had The Blank Stare on their face - like they were a million miles away.  The Blank Stare is all we can perceive while they float away on a tangent of thought.

151.  Someone To Hold
In the early dawn I want Someone To Hold
When the gale blows I want Someone To Hold
In the noon day sunlight I want Someone To Hold
When spring buds and autumn falls I want Someone To Hold
At 3 a.m., in a quiet room I want Someone To Hold
In the glow of holiday snow I want Someone To Hold
When the year turns I want Someone To Hold
